Wizards win despite Arenas' off night

Usually when Wizards superstar Gilbert Arenas has an off game the Wizards usually find themselves struggling to keep up with the opposition. That was not the case last night as the Wizards beat an Eastern Conference power Chicago Bulls comfortably 103-113. In an interview Gilbert Arenas told the media that "the supporting cast did a great job," as he was holding back laughter. Then Arenas jokingly yelled across the locker room at the rest of his teammates, "Yeah, Wonder Woman was terrific tonight!" Jokes aside Gilbert’s teammates stepped up and helped carry the scoring load with six players in double figures. Caron Butler led the way with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. Arenas despite the off game scored 20 and Antwan Jamison chipped in 18. The difference in the game was the 19 turnovers Chicago made to the Wizards 8. Center Etan Thomas returned to action after missing 13 games with a sprained left ankle. Effort like that night in and night out could help the Wizards make a push in the playoffs later in the year.
